After last year’s grand 10-year anniversary, Ladies Got the Blues returns to Fasching on December 19 to continue what has become an annual tradition.
Ladies Got the Blues is a collective and tribute band bringing together some of Sweden’s most prominent female blues musicians. The concert is a celebration of the women who have shaped the genre throughout history – a vibrant mix of beloved classics, forgotten gems and unexpected interpretations.
Since the initiative began in 2014, it has become a staple on the Swedish live scene, with sold-out shows around the country and a special place in Fasching’s December calendar. Past participants include Louise Hoffsten, Among Lynx, Lisa Lystam and Clarisse Muvemba Lidström.
This year’s edition is led by Zubaida Solid, Ina Molin and Ida Bang, backed by the house band and a string of exciting guest artists, both familiar faces and new voices. Expect a dynamic night that moves from stripped-down and soulful to rootsy grooves, spontaneous surprises and a powerful crescendo that lifts the roof.
