Darya & Månskensorkestern 10 år på Fasching!

Few bands move as naturally between a Swedish folkpark and an indie festival as Darya & Månskensorkestern. For more than 20 years, they’ve carried Finnish tango across Sweden, infusing it with pop, rock, country and folk to create a musical world of their own, where unhappy love always gets the last word. This year marks their tenth year on Fasching’s stage!

Rooted in 1940s Finnish schlager and tango, their music blends raw-edged rock with melancholy ballads, clarinet with guitar, accordion with pop melodies. It’s taken them from care homes in northern Finland to jazz clubs and concert halls. They’re as much at home in a community hall in a Swedish mill town as they are at a festival in Helsinki.

Regulars at Fasching know that the band likes to invite special guests to their January shows at Kungsgatan 63 – a tradition that naturally continues this year. Past guests include David Ritschard, Monica Törnell, Frida Hyvönen, Stefan Sundström, Anna Maria Espinosa, Saska Helmikallio and Ida Maria.

2027 marks ten years of Darya & Månskensorkestern at Fasching. We’re celebrating with two nights of heartbreak, pop melodies and January melancholy, with Darya & Månskensorkestern + friends!
