British soul and blues singer Kat Eaton made her Stockholm debut to a sold-out Fasching in 2025. This autumn she returns with new music drawing inspiration from timeless classics by Carole King, Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, alongside contemporary artists like Emily King, Lianne La Havas and Yebba.

“We wanted to blend the warmth of those classic records with the clarity of how
people listen now. Real instruments, real voices — nothing to hide behind”, says Kat.

What Happens Now is her third studio album, recorded at Konk Studios in London – where Adele and Massive Attack have also recorded – and mastered at Abbey Road. Produced by Nick Atkinson, her musical collaborator since they were sixteen, it’s an album about transition and renewal: modern soul with gospel roots, a blues edge and jazz in the phrasing.

With a band carrying credits from tours with Amy Winehouse, Tom Jones and Van Morrison, and a characteristic voice BBC’s Gaby Roslin once described as “sexy toffee,” Kat returns to the Fasching stage this October.
