Myles Sanko

Myles Sanko packed out Fasching last year with a masterclass in modern soul. In October he’s back with new music from his upcoming album I See My Light.

Born in Accra and raised in Cambridge, Sanko made his recording debut in 2013 on his own label and immediately caught the attention of label executives and soul fans across Europe with his refined pop-soul sound. With Bill Withers’ warmth, Al Green’s stage presence and grooves that recall Marvin Gaye’s brass-and-percussion drive, he has established himself as one of the great contemporary soul voices. Rolling Stone has called him “one of the great talents of vibrant European soul.”

His latest album Let It Unfold (2024) is his most personal yet — built on childhood memories and future dreams over silken arrangements. Strands of hip-hop groove and cool jazz meet the softness of 70s soul production. “Great sound with a modern twist, we’re going to hear a lot more of this guy,” writes Jazz FM.
