Jazz singer Carin Lundin and drummer Ronnie Gardiner join forces with Klas Toresson (saxophone), Mathias Algotsson (piano) and Hasse Larsson (double bass) to form a swinging quintet for an evening with the American songbook.
Ronnie Gardiner is a living legend on the Swedish jazz scene and was awarded the Svensk Jazz honorary prize in 2022. At over 90 years old, he is still “still going strong”. Carin Lundin has sung with jazz legends like Arne Domnérus and Putte Wickman, toured Sweden’s jazz clubs since 1989 and released five critically acclaimed albums under her own name.
In 2024, they released the live album A Heart Full of Rhythm together. Orkesterjournalen wrote about Lundin’s vocals: “Brilliantly interpreted in Billie Holiday’s footsteps.” Lira noted: “Carin Lundin sings with an enviable ease in jazz classics.”
