From the forests of Värmland to the streets of New York — this autumn, one of Sweden’s finest jazz voices returns to Fasching.
Over a career spanning three decades and eleven albums, Rigmor Gustafsson has become one of Sweden’s most celebrated jazz vocalists: a Grammis, P2’s Guldkatten and the Royal Academy of Music’s Jazz Prize, tours with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and collaborations with some of Europe’s finest musicians.
With Rigmor på svenska (2025) she fulfilled a long-held dream of recording an album entirely in Swedish. Interpretations of Swedish favourites and jazz standards were woven together with new lyrics by Anders Lundin. She never takes the stage without a genuine relationship with the songs. With Rigmor på svenska, that relationship was impossible to miss.
In September we hear her with her quartet — Jonas Östholm, Martin Höper and Chris Montgomery.
