Release concert “Watershed” with Petter Bergander trio
Petter Bergander Trio made their album debut in 2015 with “The Grand Dance” and have since toured both in Sweden and Europe. Petter and Robert Ikiz have also played together in Nils Landgren’s Funk Unit for ten years. Double bassist Eva Kruse joined the band in 2016 and in 2019 the album Kierkegaard’s Waltz was released
On the new album Watershed (Prophone / Naxos Sweden) jazz is mixed with more modern beat and also with wise, in a free way where presence and improvisation are at the center. The songs and the trio’s tight refined interplay meet both the seasoned and the unseasoned jazz listener.

“We want to give people a crazy, exciting experience of life and zest for life. Watershed – “watershed” – is an album born from a troubled world and time. When I wrote the songs, I thought about such events in life that threaten to sow a split. Between friends, in the family, or conflicts within ourselves. The music became like a way to regain the joy and the art.”
