Austrian indie rock group Cari Cari consists of Stephanie Widmer (vocals, drums & didgeridoo) and Alexander Koeck (vocals & guitar). The duo has been called “the lovechild of The Kills and The xx” by American IndieShuffle and their music as “the raw grit of a Cat Power record”, “with a pinch of Ennio Morricone” (FM4, AUT). Since the beginning, they have worked tirelessly to create their own musical world, where everything from music videos to scenography is done by hand. The eye for detail has earned them many loyal followers – Rolling Stone Magazine called them, among other things, “the biggest discovery at Primavera Sound” and their dedicated fans have filled arenas with over 1000 people around Europe.
