Drumming legend Steve Gadd is a guest at Fasching together with the two Danish musicians, saxophonist Michael Blicher and Hammond organist Dan Hemmer.
Steve Gadd’s precise and swinging playing revolutionized drumming in the 70s and onwards. Eric Clapton, Paul Simon, Steely Dan, Ricki Lee Jones, Chick Corea and many more have had Steve Gadd behind the drums on studio albums and world tours.
With a unique groove, the trio Blicher Hemmer Gadd cooks up their own version of organ jazz, relaxed and distinct. Saxophonist Michael Blicher is responsible for the bulk of the compositions and organist Dan Hemmer ties it all together with world-class bass and organ playing.
In recent years, the trio has released three live albums and toured all over the world. The stop in Stockholm is part of the release tour for the band’s fourth album, which was partly recorded during the 2019 European tour and in Michael Blicher’s studio in Valby during lockdown.
