Adnan Joubran comes from a legendary Palestinian family of oud players and instrument makers. After touring the world with Le Trio Joubran – the first oud trio ever – he now carves out a sound of his own. The oud – an Arabic lute that bends and glides like the human voice – stays at the core. But around it: deep rhythms, cinematic textures, and echoes of jazz, electronica and spoken word.
Together with Valentin Mussou (cello, synth) and Habib Meftah (percussion, voice), Joubran builds dark, lyrical soundscapes. Introspective yet pulsing. Rooted yet forward. Think Anouar Brahem, Dhafer Youssef – or Nils Frahm with a warmer spine.
