Double bassist and composer Jon Henriksson, born in 1996 in Gothenburg, now living in Stockholm, has gained a firm foothold on the Swedish jazz scene in recent years. His musicianship is characterized by a strong expression on the double bass as well as in his compositions, and he is often seen in both larger and smaller constellations around the country. In June 2022 he formed a sextet consisting of his close musician colleagues to record his debut album “Harmonia” which is now being released on Tengtones in April. The band and the compositions resulted in a type of music that, with emotionally gripping harmonies and a dynamic interplay, puts the listener in both a lustful and melancholic state.
