On 23 September 2026, John Coltrane would have turned 100. To mark the occasion, seven of Sweden’s most celebrated saxophonists – Fredrik Nordström, Jonas Kullhammar, Lisen Rylander Löve, Fredrik Ljungkvist, Joakim Milder, Krister Andersson and Robert Nordmark – gather at Fasching for a night with his music.
Moving through shifting constellations, they trace Coltrane’s world: the driving and swinging, the lyrical, the free. A concert rooted in a centenary but aimed at something beyond commemoration – a living conversation with one of music history’s most enduring legacies, interpreted by musicians who carry it deep.
