Svante Söderqvist’s third album Like in the Movies (out spring 2025) is his most expansive and cinematic work to date, where chamber jazz, Nordic folk and subtle electronics move through shifting spaces and emotional landscapes.
He’s joined by his long-time trio: Adam Forkelid on piano and Calle Rasmusson on drums, now expanded with Estonian-Swedish accordionist and sonic explorer Tuulikki Bartosik, who bends her instrument toward the electronic, the folkloric, and the unexpected.
Together, they form the quartet The Rocket. The music is acoustic but never analogue, composed but never confined. It grows and whispers: carried by four deeply attuned musicians moving as one.
