After touring Europe with artists like Kathrine Windfeld Sextet, OTOOTO and pawky, Swedish saxophonist and composer Hannes Bennich returns with a deeply personal new album: All Ages At Once, the follow-up to his acclaimed 2022 debut When Losing a Dream To Reality.
The record is built around the idea that we carry all our former selves with us, that a sound, a smell or a space can suddenly bring the past rushing back, as vivid as yesterday. That the five-year-old and the twenty-year-old versions of us still live within, side by side.
This is reflective, melodic jazz shaped by memory, and brought to life by a quartet of four distinct voices, playing with care and connection.
