There’s something about Ida Sand’s voice – raw, warm, and full of soul – that grabs you and won’t let go. With roots in gospel, jazz, and blues, her sound carries a Nordic honesty, shaped by years on stage and a deep musical upbringing.
Born into a musical family, her father an opera singer, her mother a church musician, Ida followed her own path: learning by ear, playing what she felt. Since her ACT debut in 2007, she’s become a strong and soulful presence on the European jazz scene, touring extensively and collaborating with artists like Nils Landgren.
