For over four decades, Mezzoforte has been a defining force on the international fusion scene, and one of Iceland’s most celebrated musical exports. Their breakthrough came in 1983 with the instrumental mega-hit Garden Party, launching them onto the world stage as the first Icelandic band to tour internationally with lasting success.
Since the late ’70s, Mezzoforte’s core members have stayed together, developing a sound where melody leads the way. While many fusion groups rely on riffs as springboards for solos, Mezzoforte writes actual songs: memorable, dynamic, melodic.
Now they return to Fasching to light up the dark of February.
