Too Many Zooz

Too Many Zooz describe their own music as “Brass House” – an explosive mix of jazz, EDM, punk, and dance music. The trio broke through as subway musicians in New York in 2013, where baritone saxophonist Leo “Leo P” Pellegrino made his name with playing that’s equal parts virtuosic and acrobatic. Since then, Too Many Zooz have grown into an international phenomenon with millions of views on YouTube and a constantly packed touring schedule.

Besides Leo P, the trio consists of trumpeter Matt “Doe” Muirhead and drummer David “King of Sludge” Parks. They released their debut album Subway Gawdz in 2016 and that same year appeared on Beyoncé’s Lemonade and performed alongside Beyoncé and The Dixie Chicks at the CMA Awards. Their second album, Retail Therapy, arrived in 2024 – a 13-track musical portrait of life beneath New York’s streets.

Their high-energy dance music has made stressed-out New Yorkers stop and listen in the subway, and crowds bounce in the biggest arenas. Now they’re bringing their underground brass party to Fasching!
