Caoilfhionn Rose

Caoilfhionn Rose – pronounced Keelin – is a British singer, songwriter and producer rooted in folk and jazz. Her third album Constellation (Gondwana Records, 2024) builds a sound where acoustic piano and synths meet a live rhythm section, saxophone and layers of ambient production that take time to unfold.

Saxophonist Jordan Smart of Mammal Hands moves along the album’s edges; drummer Alan Taylor and bassist Gavin Barras hold it together with a weightless precision. The album took her on extensive European tours throughout 2024 and 2025 – supporting Hania Rani, Alabaster De Plume, Gogo Penguin and Bess Atwell, plus her own headline tour. In October 2025 she released the single “Illusions” with Danish jazz duo Svaneborg Kardyb – a collaboration that has shaped her sound ahead of her forthcoming fourth album.

Rose’s music has been called “ambient jazz”, but that doesn’t quite capture the full picture. Her music is full of warm indie-folk vocals, melody and songs that echo a classic songwriting tradition. Higher Plain Music called her music “dreamy, hazy and milky folktronica with gentle jazzy psychedelia undertones.”
