Oreglo emerged from London’s vibrant jazz community with a sound that smells like schoolyards in Hackney, late nights in Brixton and DIY rehearsals in a parking garage somewhere in East End.
Four young musicians – shaped by Tomorrow’s Warriors and Kinetika Bloco – armed with tuba, drums, keys and guitar. Together they’ve built an explosive sound where jazz collides with grime, psych rock, dub and drill. Raw, rhythmic, and fully unfiltered.
Their debut EP Not Real People (Brownswood Recordings) was hailed as a new direction for British jazz. Here, the structure of improvisation meets the chaos of the city streets.
For fans of corto.alto, Nubya Garcia or Yussef Dayes, but with heavier beats and a little more concrete.
