Michael Pipoquinha made his breakthrough as a teenager with explosive bass playing, and has since become a fixture on the international jazz and fusion scene. Now he steps into new territory, as a vocalist, songwriter and storyteller.
His upcoming album Minha Pele (2025) explores themes of identity, roots and resistance, in a style he calls “Afro-groove”, where African rhythms meet Brazilian tradition and the sensitivity of jazz.
At Fasching, he takes the stage with a band blending jazz, fusion, Latin and soul into something both deeply personal and rhythmically alive.
