Ida Nielsen goes by the name Funkhouser, and she lives up to it. Celebrated across the globe and ranked among the planet’s top bass players, she’s perhaps best known for her years with Prince, as part of both The New Power Generation and the funk-rock trio 3rdEyeGirl.
Now she’s back at Fasching, with her band, her bass, and a funk show that takes no prisoners. This is funk, pure and unfiltered. As Ida herself puts it: You can’t fake the funk.
