claire rousay: a little death

claire rousay creates microcosms of emotion from whispering guitars, fragmented strings, and everyday sounds where every breath and footstep carries a story. It’s intimate without being private, concrete yet ethereal at the same time.

Following the melodically charged sentiment (2024), she returns with a little death to a more abstract and diaristic expression. A twilight album that lets the sounds of reality slip into the music as if they’ve always belonged there. Field recordings mix with chamber-like precision, and fragments from collaborations with More Eaze, M. Sage, and Gretchen Korsmo are woven in like voices in an ensemble.

Rousay has collaborated with artists like Grouper and SUSS, and her music has been described as everything from ambient pop to experimental composition. At Fasching, we’ll experience an artist who lets small things take space, and makes them unforgettable. Part of the concert series LOKKO X FASCHING.
