An extraordinary trio. Cowherd has a long-running history with Blade in the acclaimed Fellowship Band, but he’s also written for, led and played with artists like Cassandra Wilson, Lizz Wright, Norah Jones and Iggy Pop. Bassist Tony Scherr has shared the stage with Bill Frisell, Sex Mob and Maria Schneider. And Blade is, quite simply, one of the most sensitive and sought-after drummers of our time, not least through his work with the Wayne Shorter Quartet.
